His accelerated experiences helped inform his work on both sides of the camera. Initially aspiring to be a storyboarder, Kam turned his talents towards directing. Not long after graduating from the Art Institute, Kam began a independent film company "Kalomika Films" along with his directing career with a string of advertising spots, PSAs, and music videos (P.S. The Rebel's The Edge, Mumbi's Probably For Lovers), short films (Devil Of My Own Making, Imago) and self written, performed, animated, and directed music video, Sword Of Omens..Kam Kalambay is an artist bringing a unique and versatile style to the visual entertainment of motion pictures. Born in Nairobi, Kenya from a Congolese father and a half Ugandan, half Kenyan mother, He spent his early years' boarding school in Great Britain. As a young adult, he was later admitted into the Computer Animation/ Conceptual art program at The Art Institute of Dallas. He later graduated and also minored in a specialty program of Storyboarding, due to several instructors noticing his keen eye for cinematographic illustrations
